JavaScript Workshop

Fundamentals in Action

Announcing upcoming hands-on training beginning September 2011… the primary focus of this workshop series is in comprehension of key JavaScript fundamentals, hence the use of the book, JavaScript Enlightenment. To exercise the fundamentals the workshop series will include plenty of coding; specifically writing unit tests. And, to put the the fundamentals in action, using an unobtrusive style of coding, participants will program behaviors encapsulated into a module (a common design pattern).

Participants will benefit by learning and exercising the fundamentals of JavaScript in this workshop series. This workshop is meant for developers who already use some JavaScript techniques; e.g. mostly using a library like jQuery to add behavior to the HTML/CSS pages they create; ideally anyone looking to move from a beginning level to an intermediate level JavaScript programmer. KWAUSA.com Web Site Using Concrete5.org CMS

KWAUSA.com Web site built with open source content management system; code source from concrete5.org. KWA’s team created the design for their 2011 site re-design and took on ownership of the company’s site content. The Concrete5 system was very straight forward as an in-context content editing solution.

Web Site With Content Management for Messiah Lutheran

Messiah Lutheran’s previous website was updated with static files and ready for a fresh new visual design. After surveying some of the best church websites on the internet we planned out the required templates needed to support their design needs. We proposed a prominent ‘search’ form for easy access to website content driven by sphinx search which indexes and ranks search results very well.
